Nos étudiants du bout du monde…

Nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir à la médiathèque du Centre d’Études Cathares, du 9 au 18 juin dernier, Robert  Kopperud et son épouse Amandine, elle- même doctorante en philosophie.
Cet étudiant a obtenu une bourse d’étude afin de travailler sur la sociabilité autour des châteaux du XIIe siècle  dans notre département. Il travaille sous la direction des professeurs Anne Lester, Noel Lenski et Scott Bruce, de l’Université du Colorado à Boulder. Ce séjour vient concrétiser quelques contacts par téléphone et par courriels en 2009. C’est grâce à notre blog qu’il a eu connaissance de notre existence. Il a d’ores et déjà programmé un nouveau séjour dans nos locaux pour l’année 2010.

Our Sutdents from around the world… The library at the Centre d’Études Cathares has had the pleasure of welcoming Robert Kepperud an American undergraduate history student and his Belgium wife Amandine, who is currently completing a Phd in philosophy.Robert is here to undertake detailed study into the socialogical practices which surround the 12th century Chateaux in our region. He is working under the guidance of professors Anne Lester, Noel Lenski and Scott Bruce at the University of Colorado in Boulder.This study trip came about after numerous telephone and email exchanges with the Centre throughout 2009. Its thanks to our blog that he discovered that we exisited. Robert has already made plans for another trip to the Centre for 2010 (traduction Rebecca Sparke).
